Effective Date: 22 May 2026

“If I Die: Last Words” (the “App”) is designed with a strict privacy‑first philosophy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses, how it is used, and the limited circumstances under which any data leaves your device.

1. Information We Do NOT Collect

The App does not collect, store, or transmit the following to any server owned or controlled by us:

We do not use any analytics SDKs, crash reporters, or tracking frameworks. We never sell or share any personal information – because we never receive it in the first place.

2. Local Storage on Your Device

All messages, contacts, and the “alive” confirmation state are stored exclusively on your device using the operating system’s secure local storage (e.g., UserDefaults, Core Data, or similar). No cloud backup, no remote database, no iCloud sync (unless explicitly configured by you through your device’s general iCloud settings – the App does not initiate or control that).

3. When Information Leaves Your Device – Twilio

The only time any information leaves your device is when the App determines that you have missed the required “I am alive” confirmations. At that moment, the App will:

Twilio receives the recipient’s phone number and the message content only for the purpose of delivering that SMS. Twilio’s handling of that data is governed by its own privacy policy: https://www.twilio.com/legal/privacy.

The App does not send any other information (e.g., your name, device ID, location) to Twilio.

4. Subscription and Payment Information

The App uses the standard in‑app purchase system provided by the App Store (Apple). We do not see or store your payment information. All billing, subscription management, and payment processing are handled by Apple. Please refer to Apple’s Privacy Policy for details on how they manage your payment data.

5. Children’s Privacy
